SenSIP Center and Raytheon have launched a new effort to apply recent progress in compressive sensing to video and target recognition/tracking. Research in the fields of feature extraction and motion estimation in the compressive domain, by eliminating the computationally costly reconstruction step will be carried out. This work builds on Dr. Pavan Turaga’sprevious research in activity recognition and classification.
