The KIOS Research Systems for Intelligent Services received an Infrastructure Grant of 1.1 million Euro over 4 years, which was initiated on 1st September 2010, and it is co-sponsored by the European Regional Development Fund and Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation. The KIOS Infrastructure Grant is coordinated by the University of Cyprus , in partnership with the SenSIP Center, ETH Zurich, Politecnico di Milano, and Boston University. SenSIP is funded for four years.

On April 9-10, 2012, KIOS organized its second KIOS Workshop talk by Dr. Polycarpou, KIOS Director and UCy ECE founding Chair, President IEEE Computational Neuroscience Society, included an overview of the status of the KIOS Research Center. Plenary presentations were given by collaborators Dr. Cassandras, President of IEEE Automatic Control, Dr. Theodorides, former VP Conferences IEEE SPS, on Adaptive Systems and Projections and, by Dr. Spanias, Arizona State University (SenSIP Center and NSF Consortium Research), on Audio Processing Research.
